Privacy statement Codicar

About this statement
This privacy statement applies to Codicar, a car game for young children made by Codicon, based in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Codicon is responsible for the app.
In short
Codicar does not collect any personal data. The app has no account, no ads, no in-app purchases and no analytics or tracking services, and contains no software from third parties that collects data. It asks for no permissions and does not connect to the internet.
What is stored on the device
To let children continue where they left off, the app saves the following on the device itself: the cars they painted, their progress (stars, stickers and the last chosen world) and the settings (such as the play time). This data never leaves the device and we cannot see it.
You can delete the painted cars by emptying the garage in the settings (behind the parent lock). To delete all data, clear the app data in the Android settings or uninstall the app.
Children
Codicar is made for young children. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children, and the app does not show ads or links to other apps or websites. The settings are behind a parent lock.
App stores
You download Codicar from an app store, such as Google Play. The store processes data about your purchase, download and device under its own privacy policy. If you have agreed to share diagnostic data with Google, we may see anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as the number of installs and crashes) in the Play Console. We cannot trace these to a person.
If you contact us
If you email us, we only use your email address and message to answer your question. We do not keep that correspondence longer than necessary.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict its processing and to object to it. Since the app does not collect any personal data, we will in practice only hold data from you if you have emailed us. Send your request to the email address in our contact details; we will respond within one month.
If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Changes
We may update this privacy statement, for example when the app gets new features. The latest version is always on this page.
